The study of language and its relationship to meaning and truth.

Meaning: The study of how words and sentences acquire meaning and the relationship between language and the world around us.
Reference: The study of how words and phrases refer to objects and ideas in the world, and how we can determine what is being referred to in a given context.
Truth: The study of how we determine whether a statement is true or false, and how we use language to convey truth.
Context: The study of how context affects meaning and the interpretation of language, and how to determine the appropriate context of a statement.
Syntax and semantics: The study of the structure of language and how words and phrases are combined to form sentences, along with their meaning.
Pragmatics: The study of language use in context, including conversational implicature, presupposition, and speech act theory.
Communication: The study of how language is used to communicate information between individuals, and how linguistic communication differs from other types of communication.
Epistemology: The study of knowledge and belief, and how language is used to convey and justify knowledge claims.
Analytic and continental philosophy: The study of different traditions in philosophy of language, including analytical and continental approaches.
Philosophy of mind: The study of how language is related to thought, and how language use reveals the nature of the mind.
