Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes in living organisms. It helps us understand the underlying mechanisms behind many biological processes.

Cellular Structure and Function: Study of the structure and function of cells, including proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids.
Enzymes and Metabolism: Study of the chemical reactions that occur within cells, including enzymes, metabolic pathways, and nutrient cycles.
Protein Structure and Function: Study of the structure, function, and interactions of proteins, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures.
DNA and RNA: Study of the structure and function of nucleic acids, including DNA replication, transcription, and translation.
Carbohydrate Metabolism and Gluconeogenesis: Study of the metabolic pathways involved in the breakdown and synthesis of carbohydrates, including the regulation of blood glucose levels.
Lipid Metabolism: Study of the metabolic pathways involved in the breakdown and synthesis of lipids, including fatty acid oxidation, ketone body synthesis, and cholesterol synthesis.
Energy Metabolism: Study of the conversion of energy within cells, including glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation.
Molecular Biology Techniques: Study of the laboratory techniques used to isolate, analyze, and manipulate DNA, RNA, and proteins, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, and DNA sequencing.
Biochemical Regulation: Study of the regulation of biochemical processes within cells, including feedback inhibition, enzyme co-factors, and signal transduction pathways.
Biochemical Disorders and Diseases: Study of the biochemical basis of genetic and acquired disorders and diseases, including inherited metabolic disorders, cancer, and diabetes.
