Library services focus on the delivery of library services to library users.

Library management systems: A library management system (LMS) facilitates the operations of libraries. It typically handles tasks such as cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, and reports.
Collection development and management: The process of selecting, acquiring, organizing, maintaining, and evaluating library resources to meet the information needs of the library's user community.
Information literacy and instruction: The ability to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively. Library instruction programs help users develop these skills through classes, workshops, and one-on-one consultations.
Reference services and resources: Reference librarians provide assistance to users by answering questions, finding resources, and teaching research skills. Reference materials include books, databases, and websites.
Digital libraries and archives: Online collections of digitized materials, such as books, manuscripts, photographs, and audio/video recordings. Digital archives preserve and provide access to historically significant materials in digital formats.
Cataloging and classification: The process of describing library resources and assigning subject terms for organization and retrieval. Cataloging makes it easier for users to find information in the library's collection.
Library marketing and outreach: The promotion of library services and resources to the community. Marketing and outreach activities may include social media campaigns, events, and partnerships with other organizations.
Intellectual freedom and censorship: The principles of free access to information and opposing censorship. Libraries play an important role in providing access to diverse viewpoints and protecting the right to read and explore ideas.
Interlibrary loan and resource sharing: The ability for libraries to borrow materials from each other and share resources. Interlibrary loan allows users to access materials that are not available in their local library.
Library policies and procedures: The rules and regulations that govern library operations, including policies on circulation, collection development, and patron behavior.
