Network Topologies: Describes the physical or logical arrangement of computers and other devices in a network.
Network Protocols: Defines the rules and conventions for communication between network devices.
Ethernet: A widely-used method of creating local area networks (LANs).
TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol): A set of standard protocols that define how computers communicate over the internet.
Wireless Networking: The use of wireless signals to connect devices across a network, can cover a larger area than wired networks.
Network Addressing: Describes how IP addresses are assigned to computers and other devices on a network.
Routing and Switching: Routing refers to the process of directing network traffic to its intended destination, switching refers to the process of forwarding data between devices on a network.
DNS (Domain Name System): Translates domain names into IP addresses.
NAT (Network Address Translation): A technique that allows multiple computers to share a single IP address.
Firewalls: Devices that protect a network from unauthorized access and other security threats.
VPN (Virtual Private Network): A secure way to connect two or more networks over the internet.
Cloud Computing: The delivery of computing services using a network of remote servers.
Network Management: The administration and control of networking devices and systems within a network.
Network Monitoring: The process of using specialized tools to detect, diagnose, and resolve problems on a network.
Cabling: The physical cables that connect devices on a network.
Network Testing and Troubleshooting: The methods and processes of identifying and resolving issues with a network.
Remote Access: The ability to access a network from a remote location using a secure connection.
Load Balancing: Distributing network traffic across multiple servers, to ensure that no single device is overburdened.
QoS (Quality of Service): A technique for prioritizing network traffic to ensure that more important data packets are delivered first.
Network Security: The process of protecting against unauthorized access, data theft, and other cyber security threats on a network.
Verbal communication: Speaking (using words, sounds, and tone) to convey a message or ideas to other people.
Nonverbal communication: Gestures, facial expressions, and body language communicate a message without using words.
Written communication: Using written words (emails, texts, letters, reports) to convey information or ideas to others.
Listening: Actively paying attention to someone speaking and understanding what they are saying.
Public speaking: Presenting a message or idea to a large group of people, often in a formal setting.
Negotiation: Discussing with another person or group to reach a mutual agreement or solution to a problem.
Conflict resolution: Discussing with conflicting parties to reach a peaceful solution to a problem or disagreement.
Interpersonal communication: Communication between two or more people in a social setting.
Networking: Building professional contacts and relationships with others in the same industry or field.
Emotional intelligence: Being aware of one's own emotions and the emotions of others to better communicate and empathize with them.
