This type of sexism is often overlooked, but it refers to a unique form of discrimination that goes beyond gender identity or sex. It happens when someone's identity is intersectional -- when they belong to two or more groups that experience oppression, like women of color, disabled women, or trans women who face discrimination that is both gender-based and transphobic.
