The process of identifying and analyzing government policies and their impacts on different groups of people, with the goal of influencing policy decisions.

Policy analysis: The study of policy and its impact on society, in order to promote change and social justice.
Advocacy: The use of social, political, and economic tools to manipulate policy, in order to support underrepresented communities.
Policy evaluation: The study of how policies have impacted society, and the outcomes of policies that have been implemented.
Policy research: The gathering and analysis of data related to policies and their outcomes, in order to influence decision-making.
Policy implementation: The process of putting policies into practice, and evaluating their effectiveness.
Policy formulation: The process of creating and proposing new policies or changing existing ones, in order to address societal issues.
Political economy: The study of how politics and economics interact with each other, and how this affects policymaking.
Public policy analysis: The study of public policies in a particular area or field, and their impact on society.
Social welfare policy: The study of policies that aim to address social issues, such as poverty, inequality, and healthcare.
Human services policy: The study of policies that aim to provide assistance and support to individuals and families in need.
Health policy: The study of policies related to healthcare, including access, affordability, and quality.
Education policy: The study of policies related to education, including access, equity, and funding.
Criminal justice policy: The study of policies related to crime, punishment, and rehabilitation.
Environmental policy: The study of policies related to environmental protection, sustainable development, and climate change.

Cost-Benefit Analysis: Cost-benefit analysis is a type of policy analysis that compares the costs of a policy or intervention to its expected benefits. It helps to determine if a policy or intervention is worth the investment.
Policy Efficacy Analysis: Policy efficacy analysis assesses the effectiveness of existing policies by examining how well they address specific social problems. It focuses on the outcomes of policies rather than their costs.
Policy Implementation Analysis: Policy implementation analysis examines how policies and programs are implemented in practice. It aims to identify barriers to implementation and to develop strategies to improve program delivery.
