The study of gender issues from a global perspective, including the inequalities and challenges faced by women in developing countries.

Gender identity: The personal sense of one's own gender, which can be different from the gender assigned at birth.
Gender roles: The social and cultural expectations for behavior and attitudes based on an individual's perceived gender.
Patriarchy: A societal system in which men hold the primary power and authority in government, family, and cultural institutions.
Feminism: The belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes, and movements and actions advocating for gender equality.
Intersectionality: The recognition that people's experiences of gender are influenced by their intersecting identities, such as race, class, sexual orientation, and ability.
Privilege: The societal advantages and benefits that come from possessing certain identities or social positions, including those based on gender.
Masculinity: The cultural and social expectations for behavior, attitudes, and appearances considered appropriate for men.
Femininity: The cultural and social expectations for behavior, attitudes, and appearances considered appropriate for women.
Sexism: Prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination based on a person's perceived gender.
Sexuality: The ways in which people express and experience themselves sexually, which can be influenced by gender and other identities.
