The relationship of one object or element to another in a design that can be used to create harmony and balance.

Ratio: The comparison of two quantities in terms of their size, magnitude, or value.
Scale: The size relationship between different elements in a space or design.
Golden Ratio: A mathematical ratio that appears in many natural forms and has been used in art and design for centuries.
Proportion in Art: The relationship between the size, shape, and placement of different elements in a work of art.
Composition: The arrangement of different elements in a space or design to create a harmonious and balanced effect.
Negative Space: The empty or open space surrounding a design or object.
Symmetry: The balance achieved by having elements of equal size, shape, and placement on either side of a central axis.
Asymmetry: The balance achieved by having elements of different size, shape, and placement on either side of a central axis.
Harmony: The combination of different elements to create a coherent and pleasing design.
Contrast: The juxtaposition of elements with different characteristics, such as color or texture, to create interest and visual tension.
Emphasis: The use of elements to draw attention to a particular part of a design or composition.
Unity: The sense of wholeness and coherence created by the repetition or consistency of elements throughout a design or space.
Balance: The distribution of visual weight and elements in a design or composition to create a sense of equilibrium.
Pattern: The repetition of elements, such as shapes or colors, to create a sense of rhythm and visual interest.
Line: The use of lines to create structure, movement, and direction in a design or composition.
Shape: The use of geometric and organic shapes to create form and structure in a design or composition.
Color: The use of different colors to create mood, contrast, and visual interest in a design or composition.
Texture: The surface quality of a design or composition, often achieved through the use of different materials or techniques.
Form: The three-dimensional shape and structure of a design or composition.
Space: The use of space in a design or composition to create depth, volume, and perspective.
Scale Proportion: This refers to the size of a design element in relation to another element, or to the overall composition.
Golden Ratio Proportion: Also known as the divine proportion, this is a mathematical ratio that is considered to be aesthetically pleasing.
Symmetrical Proportion: This refers to a design that is evenly balanced on either side of a center point.
Asymmetrical Proportion: This refers to a design that is unbalanced, yet visually harmonious.
Progressive Proportion: This refers to a design that uses a consistent increase or decrease in size or scale to create a sense of movement or energy.
Dynamic Proportion: This refers to a design that is intentionally irregular or unexpected in its proportion, in order to create a sense of motion or excitement.
Repetitive Proportion: This refers to a design that uses a repeating pattern or shape to create a sense of rhythm or balance.
Hierarchical Proportion: This refers to a design that uses size or scale to indicate the importance or significance of different elements within the composition.
Radial Proportion: This refers to a design that radiates outward from a central point, creating a sense of movement or energy.
Texture Proportion: This refers to a design that uses texture to create a sense of proportion, such as varying the thickness or density of a material to create a sense of depth or volume.
