This subfield focuses on cultural differences and how to respect those differences in various cultural contexts.

Cross-cultural communication: A set of skills and techniques used to facilitate communication between individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
Cultural sensitivity: The ability to recognize and appreciate cultural differences, and to adjust one's behavior and language to avoid causing offense.
Stereotypes and prejudice: Understanding the negative impact of stereotypes and prejudice on individuals and groups, and learning how to avoid them in our interactions.
Cultural norms and values: Understanding the different norms and values that are important to individuals and groups from different cultural backgrounds.
Cultural identity: Understanding the importance of cultural identity and the impact it has on individuals and groups.
Cultural competence: Developing the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively work in a diverse cultural environment.
Multiculturalism: Understanding the value of diversity and multiculturalism, and the role they play in building understanding and respect in society.
Bias awareness: Recognizing our own biases and assumptions, and learning how to overcome them.
Language barriers: Understanding how language barriers can affect communication and learning how to overcome these barriers.
Cultural awareness: Developing an awareness of cultural differences and learning how to adapt to different cultural situations.
Recognition: Acknowledging a culture's history, traditions, beliefs, and practices.
Inclusion: Making an effort to include people from diverse cultural backgrounds in all aspects of society.
Tolerance: Accepting and respecting cultural differences and showing patience towards others with diverse backgrounds.
Open-mindedness: Being open to learning about and experiencing different cultures without prejudice or judgment.
Appreciation: Showing gratitude and respect for different cultures, their traditions, and their contributions to society.
Sensitivity: Having a consideration for different cultures, and being careful not to offend people from different backgrounds.
Equity: Treating people from different cultures equally and with fairness, without discriminating based on their race, ethnicity, religion, or national origin.
Diversity: Embracing the variety of cultures present in a society, and actively promoting and valuing diversity.
Empathy: Understanding and feeling for people from different cultures, and placing oneself in their shoes to understand their perspectives and experiences.
Interconnectedness: Recognizing that all cultures are connected and that our actions impact each other.
