This is the only type of bus topology that exists. It is a network topology in which all the devices are connected to a single cable line known as the bus, which acts as a communication medium for the devices connected to it. In this topology, each device is connected to the bus at a specific point, and data is transmitted in the form of packets. All the devices on the bus receive the transmitted data, but only the device for which the data is intended processes it. This topology is widely used in Ethernet LANs.
