The cognitive process of imagining oneself in another person's position to better understand their perspective and experience.

Theory of Mind: The understanding that other people have thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that are different from one's own.
Empathy: The ability to understand and share the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of others.
Cognitive Empathy: The ability to understand someone else’s perspective and point of view based on logical reasoning.
Affective Empathy: The ability to understand and feel the emotions of others.
Perspective-Taking: The ability to think about and understand someone else’s perspective, and adjust one’s own behavior accordingly.
Social Cognition: The mental processes involved in social interactions, including perception, attention, memory, and decision making.
Social Perception: The process of interpreting and understanding other people’s behavior, intentions, and character.
Social Comparison: The process of evaluating one’s own abilities, achievements, and behavior in relation to other people.
Social Desirability Bias: The tendency to present oneself in a positive light to others.
Stereotyping: The tendency to make assumptions about people based on their group membership rather than their individual characteristics.
Prejudice: Negative attitudes towards a person or group based on stereotypes.
Discrimination: Behaviors or actions that are based on prejudice or negative attitudes towards a person or group.
