The set of social, cultural, and psychological attributes associated with being female.

Gender roles: The social and cultural expectations associated with gender, including what is considered “feminine” or “masculine.”.

Stereotyping: Assigning particular characteristics or behaviors to individuals based on their gender, often without evidence or consideration of individual differences.

Sexual objectification: Treating someone as a purely sexual object, often based on their gender, rather than respecting them as a full human being with agency and autonomy.
Feminist theory: The various schools of thought that seek to challenge and deconstruct gender-based discrimination and inequality.
Body image: The perception and evaluation of one’s own physical appearance, which can be influenced by societal expectations and gender norms.
Motherhood: The experience and role of being a mother, and the social expectations and pressures around it.
Masculinity: The social and cultural expectations associated with men, and how they impact individual experiences of gender.

Intersectional feminism: A feminist approach that recognizes and seeks to address the interconnected nature of various forms of oppression, including sexism, racism, classism, and ableism.
Gender-based violence: Violence and abuse that is perpetrated based on someone’s gender or perceived gender identity, including sexual assault, domestic violence, and hate crimes.
Self-care: The intentional practice of taking care of one’s physical, emotional, and mental health, which can be especially important for women who may be navigating systemic barriers and stressors related to gender.
