Newtonian gravity

Home > Physics > Astrophysics > Gravity > Newtonian gravity

This type of gravity was proposed by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century. Newton's law of gravitation states that any two objects with mass are attracted to each other with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This type of gravity is used to explain the motion of planets, stars, and other celestial bodies in the universe.
