Arbitration: This type involves an independent third party who makes a binding decision to resolve a conflict. Both parties must agree to the decision of the arbitrator and there is no formal appeal process.
Litigation: This type involves one party taking legal action against the other party in a court of law in order to achieve a legal resolution to the conflict. It is often a last-resort type of conflict resolution strategy.
