Critical Pedagogy is an educational approach that foregrounds the critique of dominant power structures and promotes social justice and equity through transformative learning and praxis.

Power and oppression: Understanding the structures of power and oppression that exist within society and how they impact marginalized groups.
Intersectionality: Recognizing the interconnectedness of various social identities (such as race, gender, class, sexuality, ability, and nationality) and the ways in which they create unique experiences of privilege and oppression.
Dialogue and discourse: Emphasizing the importance of open and honest communication, as well as critical analysis of dominant discourses and narratives.
Media literacy: Developing critical thinking skills and media literacy in order to deconstruct media messages and understand how they perpetuate ideologies of power and dominance.
Critical race theory: Examining the historical and contemporary intersections of race, power, and oppression in society.
Social justice: Advocating for equitable and just social structures and challenging systemic forms of oppression.
Cultural competence: Developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to effectively engage with diverse cultural groups.
Globalization: Investigating the impact of globalization on people and communities around the world, and examining the ways in which it perpetuates or exacerbates inequalities.
Pedagogy and the classroom: Developing strategies and approaches to teaching that promote critical thinking, social justice, and equity in the classroom.
Activism and social change: Engaging in activism and social change efforts to bring about greater justice and equality in society.
