The process of determining which of two or more fractions is greater or smaller, and arranging fractions in order from least to greatest or greatest to least.

Numerator and Denominator: Understanding the basic concept of fractions, their parts, and their comparison based on their numerators and denominators.
Equivalent Fractions: Learning how to identify and create equivalent fractions to decrease or increase the numerator and denominator.
Common Denominator: Understanding the concept of finding a common denominator to compare fractions.
Least Common Denominator: Learning how to find the least common denominator, which is the smallest multiple of the denominators of two or more fractions.
Simplifying Fractions: Understanding the concept of simplifying or reducing fractions to their lowest terms.
Improper Fractions: Learning how to convert improper fractions into mixed numbers for better understanding and easier comparison.
Mixed Numbers: Understanding the concept of mixed numbers and how to convert them into improper fractions.
Comparing Fractions: Like Denominators: Learning how to compare two or more fractions with the same denominator.
Comparing Fractions: Different Denominators: Understanding the process of comparing fractions with different denominators, by converting them to like denominators.
Ordering Fractions: Learning how to arrange fractions in ascending or descending order based on their values.
Adding and Subtracting Fractions: Like Denominators: Understanding the process of adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.
Adding and Subtracting Fractions: Different Denominators: Learning how to add and subtract fractions with different denominators by finding the least common denominator.
Multiplying Fractions: Understanding the process of multiplying fractions and how to simplify the product.
Dividing Fractions: Learning how to divide fractions by multiplying the reciprocal and simplifying the result.
Real-Life Applications: Applying fractions to real-life situations, such as cooking, budgeting, and measurement.
Comparing Fractions with the Same Denominator: In this type, we compare fractions that have the same denominator by comparing their numerators. The fraction with the larger numerator is greater.
Comparing Fractions with the Same Numerator: In this type, we compare fractions that have the same numerator by comparing their denominators. The fraction with the smaller denominator is greater.
Comparing Fractions with Unlike Denominators: In this type, we convert the fractions so that they have the same denominator and then compare them as in type 1.
Using a Common Denominator: In this type, we find the least common denominator of the fractions and convert them to have that denominator, then compare them as in type 1.
Ordering Fractions with a Common Denominator: In this type, we arrange fractions in increasing or decreasing order by comparing their numerators as in type 1.
Ordering Fractions with a Common Numerator: In this type, we arrange fractions in increasing or decreasing order by comparing their denominators as in type 2.
Comparing Mixed Numbers: In this type, we convert mixed numbers to improper fractions and then compare them using the techniques above.
Comparing Fractions with Different Signs: In this type, we compare fractions with different signs (positive and negative) by first finding a common denominator and then comparing their numerators as in type 1.
