Third-wave feminism

Home > Literature > Feminist literature > The Feminist Movement > Third-wave feminism

This is the most recent iteration of the feminist movement, emerging in the 1990s and continuing to the present day. Third-wave feminism takes a more nuanced, individualistic approach to gender issues, focusing on issues such as body image, sexuality, intersectionality, and the empowerment of non-white, LGBTQ, and non-binary people. Third-wave feminists emphasize the importance of personal choice and self-expression in challenging gender norms.
