Gender expression refers to how an individual presents their gender identity to others through clothing, behavior, and other outward expressions.

Gender Identity: The gender with which an individual identifies themselves.
Gender Expression: The way in which one expresses their gender through clothing, behavior, and social interactions.
Biological Sex: The sex assigned to individuals at birth based on reproductive organs.
Intersex: A condition where an individual is born with ambiguous genitalia or a combination of both male and female reproductive organs.
Gender Dysphoria: Psychological distress experienced by individuals due to a mismatch between their gender identity and their biological sex.
Gender Confirmation Surgery: Medical procedures that change an individual’s physical appearance to match their gender identity.
HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy): Hormonal treatment to change an individual’s physical appearance to match their gender identity.
Transgenderism: The umbrella term for individuals whose gender identity differs from their biological sex.
Cisgender: Individuals whose gender identity matches their biological sex.
Non-Binary: A gender identity outside of the binary male/female categories.
LGBTQ+: An acronym for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning community.
Allyship: Supporting and advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community as a cisgender or heterosexual individual.
Discrimination and Stigma: The prejudice and discrimination faced by transgender individuals due to their gender identity.
Human Rights: The violating of the rights of the transgender community and their fight for equal rights.

There is a wide spectrum of gender identities and expressions that have been recognized and embraced by diverse communities around the world. Here are some examples: :.
Cisgender: A person whose gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth.
Transgender: A person whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth.
Genderqueer/non-binary: A person who identifies as neither completely male nor completely female, or who identifies as both or as a combination of male and female.
Agender: A person who does not identify as having a gender identity or having a gender.
Two-Spirit: A term used by some Indigenous North Americans to describe the experience of having both a male and female spirit or identity.
Androgynous: A person who has a gender expression that is a combination of masculine and feminine traits, or who appears to have a neutral or ambiguous gender expression.
Gender-nonconforming: A person who expresses their gender in ways that do not conform to societal expectations or norms.
Cross-dresser: A person who wears clothing or accessories traditionally associated with the opposite sex.
Drag performer: A person who performs in exaggeratedly feminine or masculine clothing and makeup as part of a show or performance.
