This is the largest ethnic group in India, comprising people who speak Indo-European languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, etc. They primarily inhabit the northern and central parts of India. Examples of subgroups within this category include Rajputs, Jats, Marathas, etc.
