This type of theory gained popularity in the 1960s and 1970s and deals with issues related to oppression and exploitation. Black radical feminism explores how oppression and exploitation are interconnected and must be addressed together if we want to achieve equality for all marginalized communities. Black radical feminists seek to promote black liberation and have been influential in mobilizing many social justice movements.
