Process of designing and developing assessments that are reliable, valid, and aligned with learning objectives.

Learning objectives: Define what students should be able to do or know after completing a program or course.
Grading criteria: Provide clear guidelines on how students will be evaluated and graded.
Test development: Design and create tests that accurately assess student knowledge and understanding.
Rubrics: Establish a clear scoring system for student assignments and assessments.
Item analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of test questions and examine student performance on specific items.
Assessment tools: Identify and use appropriate assessment tools to measure student achievement.
Validity and reliability: Ensure that assessments are valid (measure what they intend to measure) and reliable (produce consistent results over time).
Formative assessment: Use ongoing assessments to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
Summative assessment: Assess student achievement at the end of a unit or course to determine overall mastery.
Balanced assessment: Use a variety of assessment methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of student learning.

Portfolio Assessment: An assessment designed to showcase a student's best work over time.
Authentic Assessment: An assessment designed to evaluate student performance in real-world contexts, such as projects or simulations.
Program Evaluation: An assessment designed to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs, such as curriculum or intervention programs.
Self-Assessment: An assessment designed for students to evaluate their own learning progress, including their strengths and weaknesses.
Peer Assessment: An assessment designed for students to evaluate their classmates' learning progress based on predetermined criteria.
360-Degree Assessment: An assessment designed for a variety of stakeholders (teachers, students, parents, etc.) to provide feedback on student learning progress.
Dynamic Assessment: An assessment designed to identify a student's learning potential by providing support and guidance during the assessment process.
Rubric Assessment: An assessment designed to evaluate student performance based on a set of criteria and a scoring system.
Adaptive Assessment: An assessment designed to adjust the difficulty of questions based on a student's previous answers to provide a more accurate assessment of their knowledge and skills.
