A learning process in which individuals take the initiative and control over their own learning.

Andragogy: The study of adult learning principles, including the characteristics and motivations of adult learners.
Self-efficacy: An individual's belief in their ability to successfully perform a task or achieve a goal.
Autonomy: The ability of individuals to take control of their own learning, setting goals and methods of achieving them.
Motivation: The driving force behind behavior, including the pursuit of learning goals.
Learning style: The preferred methods of learning and processing information, including auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
Goal setting: The process of identifying and setting specific learning goals, and the development of a plan to achieve them.
Time management: The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to achieve learning objectives.
Critical thinking: The ability to analyze and evaluate information, including identifying biases, assumptions, and logical fallacies.
Reflection: The process of thinking critically about one's own learning and experiences.
Feedback: The evaluation and response provided by others, including teachers, peers, and mentors.
Peer learning: Collaborative learning with peers, including the sharing of ideas, feedback, and resources.
Technology use: The integration of technology into learning, including the use of online resources and tools.
Assessment: The evaluation of learning outcomes and the measurement of progress towards goals.
Personal learning networks: The development of a network of individuals who provide support, feedback, and resources for learning.
Creative thinking: The ability to generate new ideas and approaches to problem-solving.
Self-paced learning: Individuals set their own learning goals and timeline, taking as much or as little time as they need to complete tasks and meet objectives.
Online/distance learning: This type of learning allows learners to access educational materials and resources through the internet, from a remote location.
Project-based learning: PBL is an approach in which learners work on real-world problems or challenges to develop deep subject-matter expertise.
Individualised instruction: A personalised approach to learning that allows individuals to work one-on-one with an instructor to focus on their specific needs and goals.
Experiential learning: This approach places learners in real-life situations and helps them to solve problems, test ideas, and learn through trial-and-error.
Self-directed learning through books: Individuals may use books to explore a topic, either as a beginning or advanced learner.
Collaborative learning: Collaborative learning encourages individuals to work in groups and learn from one another's experiences and insights.
Informal Learning: This type of learning doesn't follow a structured design but rather spontaneous learning.
Self-directed learning through podcasts: Podcasts that are designed to explain and educate individuals about specific topics.
Analytic learning: In this approach, individuals use their experience to examine problems and look for patterns to arrive at their own answer.

Action learning: Action learning involves learning through doing, where individuals work on a specific problem or project, and learn by reflecting on the outcomes of that endeavour.
