Negative attitudes towards bisexuality or bisexual individuals based on fear or ignorance.

Biphobia: Biphobia is a form of discrimination or prejudice against bisexual individuals. It is based on the belief that bisexuality is not a valid sexual orientation, that bisexuality is a phase, or that bisexual individuals are promiscuous and cannot be trusted.
Bisexuality: Bisexuality is a sexual orientation where someone is attracted to individuals of their own gender, as well as those of a different gender.
Homophobia: Homophobia is a form of discrimination or prejudice against individuals who are attracted to the same gender. It is based on the belief that homosexuality is not a valid sexual orientation.
Transphobia: Transphobia is a form of discrimination or prejudice against transgender individuals. It is based on the belief that transgender individuals do not conform to traditional gender norms and roles.
Heteronormativity: Heteronormativity is the belief that heterosexuality is the only valid sexual orientation and that other sexual orientations are abnormal or deviant.
Intersectionality: Intersectionality is the concept that multiple forms of discrimination, such as racism and homophobia, intersect to create unique experiences of oppression.
LGBTQ+ Terminology: Learning the terminology associated with the LGBTQ+ community is essential to understanding the experiences of bisexual, gay, lesbian, transgender, and queer individuals.
LGBTQ+ History: Knowing the history of LGBTQ+ rights and activism can provide context for the discrimination and prejudice that bisexual individuals may face.
Bisexual Erasure: Bisexual erasure occurs when the existence of bisexuality is denied, ignored, or invalidated.
Bi-invisibility: Bi-invisibility is a term used to describe the lack of visibility of bisexual individuals in society and media.

Stereotyping: The belief that bisexuality is a phase, a choice, or a form of indecisiveness that must eventually lead to a particular sexual orientation.
Homosexual bias: When the dominant narrative in the LGBTQIA+ community is that being gay or lesbian is more valid or more "real" than being bisexual, dismissing the latter as fake or confused.
Transphobic bias: When bisexual individuals are viewed as transphobic or as "less queer" if they date someone who is binary or cisgender, or if they don't express their queerness in ways that conform to current gender norms.
Fetishization: The objectifying of bisexual individuals by others who think they are more sexually adventurous or are just there for a person's indulgence.
Biphobic phrasing: The use of negative language or slurs when referring to bisexual individuals, including terms like "confused", "greedy", or "promiscuous".
Medical bias: When people assume that bisexuality is a sex addiction or a risk factor for STIs, resulting in fewer resources being allocated to bisexual health research.
