A person who supports and advocates for marginalized individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.

Gender identity: Refers to a person's internal sense of their own gender, which can be male, female, or non-binary.
Gender expression: Refers to the way a person presents their gender identity to the world, such as through clothing, hairstyles, and mannerisms.
Sex assigned at birth: Refers to the male or female designation a person is given at birth based on their external sex organs.
Biological sex: Refers to the physiological distinctions between males and females, including differences in chromosomes, hormones, and reproductive systems.
Sexual orientation: Refers to a person's pattern of romantic and/or sexual attraction towards others, which can be heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, or asexual.
Gender roles: Refers to the societal expectations and stereotypes surrounding gender, such as the idea that men should be tough and unemotional, and women should be nurturing and submissive.
Intersectionality: Refers to the way that various aspects of a person's identity, such as their race, class, and disability status, can intersect and affect their experiences of gender and sexuality.
Queer theory: Refers to the academic study of sexuality and gender, which challenges traditional notions of binary categories and recognizes the diversity of human experiences.
Transgender: Refers to a person whose gender identity does not align with the sex they were assigned at birth, and may choose to transition through medical procedures or social changes to better align with their true gender.
Cisgender: Refers to a person whose gender identity aligns with the sex they were assigned at birth.
Non-binary: Refers to a gender identity that is not exclusively male or female, but can be a combination of both or something entirely different.
Intersex: Refers to individuals born with internal or external sex characteristics that do not fit typical binary male or female classifications.
Gender dysphoria: Refers to the distress and discomfort experienced by some individuals whose gender identity does not match the sex they were assigned at birth.
Allyship: Refers to actively supporting and advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized communities, including but not limited to the LGBTQ+ community.
